About the 'Cudas
The Homestead Farm II Barracudas swim in the Rocky Mountain Swim League: https://rmsl.swimtopia.com/ The Barracudas mission is Do Your Best, Support Your Teammates and Have Fun.
The season begins mid-May with afternoon practices. After school lets out, practices are held weekday mornings by age group (6 & Under — 18 years old). Regular meets are held Saturdays in June and the season ends after finals in mid-July.
The team is completely reliant on parent volunteers to make the meets run smoothly. As such, volunteering for parents is required.
In addition to practices and meets, swim team offers events and activities such as stroke clinics, bingo, coaches dinners, buddy program, team photos, movie night, Pirate’s Cove evening, awards banquet and more.
Young swimmers are required to take a swim test. We ask that your swimmer be eligible for kindergarten in the coming fall to ensure that your swimmer is mature enough for swim team.
