Information regarding private lessons with the coaches:
The Cuda coaches all are happy to schedule private swimming lessons with your swimmers at the HFII pool. Although you are welcome to schedule lessons with any of the talented coaches, lessons with their Age Group Coaches are a great way for the coaches to get to know your swimmers, and focus on specific ways to improve their strokes. Feel free to contact the coaches by phone to schedule lessons.
Hi! I’m Louie Roth, and I’m getting ready to start my junior year at Benedictine College, where I’ll graduate in 2028. I swam for the HFII Cudas for 16 years, starting when I was just 5 years old! This summer will be my fifth year coaching, and I’m honored to be returning as Head Coach for the second year in a row.
One of my favorite Cuda memories was winning the Coaches Award when I was 11 years old — it gave me so much confidence and made my love for the team grow even stronger. Outside of the pool, I enjoy playing golf and this summer I started my first internship working for a business advocacy firm. I’m a hard worker, love having fun, and hope to one day to move to Washington D.C.
I can’t wait for the 2026 Summer Cuda season to begin — go Cudas!
Hi! I’m Emma Rutz, and I will be a sophomore at The University of Utah this fall, where I am studying Kinesiology. I have been a part of the Cudas swim team since I was five years old! Some of my favorite memories include the banquet, finals, and the coaches’ kidnap. I also played competitive soccer for Colorado United Soccer. This is my fifth year as a coach, and I have enjoyed it so much. I’m looking forward to another great season and am super excited for this year. Go Cudas!
Hi, I’m Lindsay Rutz, and I’ll be a sophomore at Miami University this fall! I’ve been swimming with the Cudas since I was 5 years old, and this summer marks my fifth year as an assistant coach. I love mentoring young swimmers and sharing my passion for the sport. Some of my favorite Cuda memories include swim finals, team banquets, and the coaches’ kidnap event.
In addition to coaching, I swam four years on the varsity team at Arapahoe High School and competed in club swimming for ACES and AquaWolves. I also played competitive soccer with Colorado United Soccer and enjoy playing tennis in my free time.
I hope to pursue a career in healthcare as a nurse or physician assistant, combining my passion for athletics, leadership, and helping others. Go ’Cudas!
Hi! I’m Lilly Rutz, and I just finished my sophomore year at Arapahoe High School. I have been part of the ’Cudas family since I was 6 years old, and I’m excited to share my love of swimming with the younger kids on the team.
My favorite ’Cuda memory is from last year’s finals when the team showed up in hilarious grandma and grandpa costumes. The team and coaches do such a great job creating a fun and unforgettable atmosphere. I was also excited to be on the varsity swim team at Arapahoe again this year. In addition to being a Cuda coach and swimmer, I also play field hockey.
When I grow up, I would love to become an elementary school teacher because I enjoy working with kids and watching them learn and grow!
Carly McHaleAssistant 13/18 Coach
Hi! I’m Carly McHale and this will be my first year coaching for the ‘Cudas! I will be a sophomore at University of Florida next Fall, and I am studying Biochemistry and Spanish on a Pre-Med track! I am so excited to get the opportunity to coach this year and to give back to the community that taught me to love swimming.
I have been a ‘Cuda since I was 6, and this will also be my last year swimming as a ‘Cuda! I also swam Varsity at Arapahoe for all four years. Being a 'Cuda was always the highlight of my summer. Some of my favorite memories from being a ‘Cuda are coaches kidnap, prelims/finals week, and getting to cheer everyone on.
In the future I hope to be a PA or Doctor, because I truly do love serving others and am so grateful that the swim team also allows me to do that! I am so excited for the season and to help and get to know everyone. Go ‘Cudas!!
Hi! My name is Emma Scherer, and I attend Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School, where I’ll be a junior next year. I love being part of the Cudas family and can’t wait for another amazing season!
Hi, I’m Mason Knecht! I’m an incoming senior at Heritage High School and a proud member of the Cudas Swim Team. I’ve been swimming for 12 years, and I’m thrilled to start my second year as a coach, where I can share my passion for the sport with younger swimmers.
One of my favorite memories with the Cudas has to be the unforgettable "kidnapping days." Those moments truly capture the fun and camaraderie that our team is all about.
Outside of swimming, I’m also involved in lacrosse, playing for both my school and a club team.
Looking to the future, I aspire to become a stock analyst I’m excited to make a positive impact on the Cudas Swim Team this season!
